Our Mission

Building a Better Bathware Industry

It’s a culture we are building and are dedicated to achieving. Not just for us, but for the industry which we love. We have always looked to move forward and push the limits in ourselves, and believe that we can always learn more and there is always a better way. We are committed to finding that better way.

Our Story

Brothers Rick and Scott Stonecipher

In 1993, a small fiberglass bathing manufacturer in Savannah, Tennessee, with sales of approximately $2 million annually was losing money and on the verge of closing. Brothers Rick and Scott Stonecipher, just 26 and 21 years old, stepped in and took over the assets of the failing company.

To invest in the business, the Stonecipher family made a defining bet on their future by selling 1,000 cows in a two-day dispersal sale and putting the proceeds into rebuilding the company.

Drawing on the critical thinking, work ethic, and problem-solving skills they developed growing up on a farm, the brothers immersed themselves in every aspect of the operation. They sold personal assets, worked in the plant without pay, and learned every part of the business from the ground up. Through disciplined decisions and relentless effort, they focused on stabilizing the company.

Within just six months, they brought the business back to break even.

Through continued execution and a hands-on approach, the company became profitable, laying the foundation for what is now American Bath Group. Their journey reflects a story of risk, sacrifice, and determination built through grit and accountability.
